Many of us can't forget about the terrible train crash that happened at Tempi Greece on 2023. The accident cost the lives to many people. Until now, years after, still the case is full of shadows and justice still hasn't done it's duty, so tragedies like that won't happen again. 

At some point I was watching a graphic design tutorial  and I thought I could adapt the visual concept to an idea about Tempi. The tutorial had to do with creating a typographical portrait. 

So I chose the portrait of Justice statue. The typography part was created out of the names of the victims of the crash. The main slogan was "They ask for justice."

Facebook and instagram posts for BMtools

For this project I had to come up with a visual identity of Instagram and Facebook posts. The client was ΒΜtools and we had to create several posts each month. So I came up with three basic type of branded posts. The first category was hard selling product posts. The second type had to do with providing info about a specific category of tools. The final and third type was creating tips and tricks post about tools. At some point we also created seasonal posts depending on the time oh year, special events e.t.c.

I was called to create the style of Scrap Wood City YouTube channel thumbnails. I came up with a typographic layout, I used a pretty bold font to create a block of text. Each time I picked a color from the main theme to underline the basic hashtag of the title. All the pack shots were shot on a 50% grey background in order to achieve a sense of unity for all the thumbnails.

In this project I was asked to create a logo for Sifnos Wood Art. Nikos Livas is a professional woodworker and artist based on the Greek island of Sifnos. I tried to create a logo to express all the stuff he does on his work. In the picture you can see the basic guide lines of the logo and a few basic branding applications.

Digital illustration in byzantine iconography style. I begun from a real icon as a reference. I then gradually started designing and vectorising it. Finally in a bitmap environment again, so I could make the forms softer and add a gold background texture.

Logo and brand identity for Phytotesing

For this project I had to create a logo and brand identity for Phytotesing. Phytotesting is a company that deals with scientific research and agriculture. So I came up with the logo concept having it's origins on the DNA helix but also on a plant visual.

Yalosinthesi is a company that works with glass. They use different techniques including glass. The spiral is a pretty common visual used in their work, so I tried to incorporate that into their brand identity.

On this project I had to expand the logo to a whole bunch of different branding elements. The Dielectrics Group, is a team of scientists from National Technical University of Athens, that deals with dielectric materials.

Client: Greek Woodturning Team

Greek woodturning team is a group of people that create beautiful items out of wood, using the lathe as their main tool. I was called to create a logo for the team. The logo had to be clean, specific and flexible so it can be applied in many different situations. It's been a couple of years since the logo was released. So far it seems to fit the needs of the team really nicely. So, I can call it a winner!

I created this logo and brand identity, using smooth colors and simple layout. I wanted to get the medical look with an essence of calmness and also modern aesthetics.

After creating the Logo and it's guidelines. It was time to expand branding on other elements as well. Packaging, business cards, retail sign and car are just a few applications of the brand's identity. 

Branding for Greek Woodturning team 5th annual meeting

Client: Greek Woodturning Team

Every year many members of the Greek woodturning team gather to exchange knowledge and ideas around woodturning. This year the meeting will take place at Steni Evias. Steni is a beautiful village on the mountain Dirfi, full of beautiful maple trees and a beautiful river. So I decided to embed a hiking/mountaineering type of aesthetic for this branding project. My main key visual was inspired from hiking signs.

Client: Fotis Kalovedouris

On this project I had to create a logo and a business card for Fotis Kalovedouris. Fotis makes wooden stairs. I took advantage of the letter "Φ". Φ is the letter that represents the golden ratio and it is also the first letter on Fotis's name. So I created a spiral close to a "Φ" only with stairs.

Once I created the logo for "Δελφική Γη", it was time to create the packaging. I created a label with a vector illustration of people collecting olives with the traditional method. This was also a nice excuse to practise my 3D skills so I can make a better presentation of my work.

I was asked to create a logo for a brand that produces olives coming from the lands of Delphi. So I created the logo based on an olive tree that rotates trying to follow the sun light.

 

Rebetis illustration Vol. 2

This project was an another attempt to follow Byzantine art structural elements to create a modern piece of artwork. I also used egg tempera as a medium on paper. Dimensions 21x28cm. The character is inspired from Greek folk urban music called rebetika.

This project was an attempt to follow Byzantine art structural elements to create a modern piece of artwork. I also used egg tempera as a medium, on a pretreated wooden surface.

This is an attempt to incorporate byzantine art structural elements into digital artwork. This is image is created on Photoshop 100% using an artistic brush with transparency. I have also used an underpainting technique.
