Greek woodturning team is a group of people that create beautiful items out of wood, using the lathe as their main tool. I was called to create a logo for the team. The logo had to be clean, specific and flexible so it can be applied in many different situations. It's been a couple of years since the logo was released. So far it seems to fit the needs of the team really nicely. So, I can call it a winner!

I created this logo and brand identity, using smooth colors and simple layout. I wanted to get the medical look with an essence of calmness and also modern aesthetics.

After creating the Logo and it's guidelines. It was time to expand branding on other elements as well. Packaging, business cards, retail sign and car are just a few applications of the brand's identity.

Client: Greek Woodturning Team

Every year many members of the Greek woodturning team gather to exchange knowledge and ideas around woodturning. This year the meeting will take place at Steni Evias. Steni is a beautiful village on the mountain Dirfi, full of beautiful maple trees and a beautiful river. So I decided to embed a hiking/mountaineering type of aesthetic for this branding project. My main key visual was inspired from hiking signs.

On this project I had to create a logo and a business card for Fotis Kalovedouris. Fotis makes wooden stairs. I took advantage of the letter "Φ". Φ is the letter that represents the golden ratio and it is also the first letter on Fotis's name. So I created a spiral close to a "Φ" only with stairs.

Once I created the logo for "Δελφική Γη", it was time to create the packaging. I created a label with a vector illustration of people collecting olives with the traditional method. This was also a nice excuse to practise my 3D skills so I can make a better presentation of my work.

I was asked to create a logo for a brand that produces olives coming from the lands of Delphi. So I created the logo based on an olive tree that rotates trying to follow the sun light.

 

Rebetis illustration Vol. 2

This project was an another attempt to follow Byzantine art structural elements to create a modern piece of artwork. I also used egg tempera as a medium on paper. Dimensions 21x28cm. The character is inspired from Greek folk urban music called rebetika.

This project was an attempt to follow Byzantine art structural elements to create a modern piece of artwork. I also used egg tempera as a medium, on a pretreated wooden surface. 

Digital illustration inspired by byzantine iconography

This is an attempt to incorporate byzantine art structural elements into digital artwork. This is image is created on Photoshop 100% using an artistic brush with transparency. I have also used an underpainting technique.
